Blaine School Release Days
School Release days coincide with the schedule of the area schools. Release days include a full day of fun and learning with frequent field trips to a variety of destinations. Monthly updates will announce field trips & special events. Please see the back of this flier for days that your school is not in session.
Monday, October 3rd 2011: Fall Fest in the Park
We’ll head to the local park for a day of Fall fun. Help us find our fall treasure as we head on a treasure hunt at the park.
Wednesday, October 19th 2011: Team Sports at BBC
Bring your footballs and baseball gloves as we head to BBC park and play group games all day long!
Thursday, October 20th 2011: The Bridge to Terabithia at Stages Theatre
Jesse doesn’t fit in but he likes to draw and use his imagination. Together with his new friend Leslie, he creates the magical kingdom of Terabithia where they can use their imaginations without being made fun of. Based on the Newbery award winning novel this is a great play for all ages!
Friday, October 21st 2011: Apple Crest Apple Farm
Join us for a day of hay rides and apple picking at Apple Crest Apple Farm. After we drink some fresh apple cider we’ll head back to JJ’s Jam to make our own fresh mini apple pies! Help us kick off our school release days with a nice fall day outside!
Wednesday, November 23rd 2011 : The Art of Thanksgiving!
Help us get ready for Thanksgiving! We’ll spend the day making fun art projects for fall and Thanksgiving! We’ll help mom and dad decorate the dinner table by making center pieces, place cards, napkin holders, baskets and more!

Monday, December 19th 2011 : PJ Read-a-thon
Join us in your PJ’s for a day of reading. Bring your sleeping bags and pillow pets and we will camp out and read the day away. We will have prizes for who can read the most books, who can read the longest amount of time, and who has the funniest book to read!
Thursday, December 22nd 2011: Gifts in a Jar
Let’s get ready for our holiday celebrations as we make cards for our friends and families! We’ll also make cookies in a jar to give as gifts for our moms and dads! What if your favorite holiday cookie? Get ready to make some fun treats to take home too!

Tuesday, December 27th 2011: Grand Slam Sports
Join us for a day of mini golf, laser tag, batting cages, arcade games, and more! We will have a blast with unlimited games with friends. Let’s see who can hit a home run!
Wednesday, December 28th 2011: Tubing at Elm Creek Park Reserve
This is one of the best sledding hills in the area! With for levels of difficulty you can zoom down the hill at your own pace
Thursday, December 29th 2011: Great River Water Park
Lets get our feet wet with a day of swimming. We’ll shoot down the water slides and have a blast in the pirate ship. In the afternoon we’ll have an indoor pool party at JJ’s Jam with “beach” volleyball

Monday, January 16th 2012: Sky Jam Indoor Trampoline
Bounce around on the biggest trampoline you’ve ever seen! Sky Zone has trampolines from floor to ceiling. No spot is left uncovered in this 3D jumping sensation!
Tuesday, January 17th 2012: Art Palooza
Join us for a day of winter art. We will do art both inside and out, making creations with snow & ice crystals!
Monday, February 20th 2012: Wild Woods Water Park
Experience the thrill of this 30,000 square foot water park! Slide down four story water slides, float on the lazy river, or splash around the pirate ship in the zero depth play area.
Friday, March 9th 2012: Bead Mania
This is a fun day filled with beads! We’ll make bracelets, necklaces, key chains, and even learn about Native American bead work too!
Monday, March 12th 2012: Taste of Italy
All of the kids will become great Italian chef’s today. We will make our own pasta, learn about how to make our own bread and pizza dough, and even make Italian Ices!
Tuesday, March 13th 2012: Vertical Endeavors
No matter what your age or ability level, you’ll be able to climb as high as the sky. Test your endurance as you shimmy up the wall.
Wednesday, March 14th 2012: Under Water World
We will see the animals of the deep blue sea. You’ll be mesmerized by the fish, sharks, dolphins, and sting rays in the 360 degree aquarium!
Thursday, March 15th 2012: Benihanah
Learn the art of Japanese cuisine as we head to the kitchen at Benihana. We will see the chef’s in action as they flip, toss, and throw their food creation. The kids will get to create their own sushi too!
Friday, March 16th 2012: Hola Amigo!
Our theme for the day will be learning about the Spanish speaking world. We will be learning the Mexican Hat Dance, making Hispanic crafts, and learning about Hispanic food including churros!
